Biographie
Elizaveta Khan was born on September 11, 1982, in Moscow and holds a degree in Social Pedagogy and Social Work (FH). Since October 2010, she has been the Managing Director of Integrationshaus e.V. in Cologne and works as a lecturer and speaker on topics such as disintegration, anti-racism, participation, and project management. Since 2012, she has also served voluntarily as a board member of the Stiftung KalkGestalten. In 2023, she was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande) for her commitment to combating racism and discrimination. In addition to her main professional role, she has been a member of the Integration Council of the City of Cologne since 2020 and teaches as a lecturer at various universities (including Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, TH Köln, and the Catholic University of Applied Sciences NRW).
Elizaveta Khan studied Social Work at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences NRW in Cologne, graduating in 2007. Her diploma thesis focused on democracy education in a migration society and on participation opportunities in relation to power structures. In the context of the ReMatriation project, she is the coordinator for all kind of workshops with Cologne’s diasporic communities.
